Hands-On Workshops That Build Skills and Confidence
From creative projects and STEM activities to trade-based learning and technical skill development, PAL workshops give students the opportunity to learn by doing. Our after-school and evening programs are designed to be engaging, educational, and fun while helping participants explore new interests, develop practical skills, and connect with mentors and peers in a supportive environment.
Whether students are interested in technology, engineering, automotive skills, teamwork, or hands-on problem-solving, our workshops provide valuable experiences that encourage creativity, confidence, and future career exploration.

First Tech Challenge

First Tech Challenge encourages teams to design, build, program, and engage in thrilling robotics competitions. Additionally, members are fully engaged in the business aspects of running, financing, and promoting our team. Guided by adult coaches and mentors, students develop business knowledge and STEM skills and practice engineering principles, while realizing the value of innovation and teamwork. With Gracious Professionalism®, the ENFORCERS are ambassadors for PAL, FIRST, and STEM in our community. New members are encouraged to try out for the team. The ENFORCERS are a serious team; we are 6-time New Jersey State Champions and Inspire Award winners. The successful team member has a love for STEM, the desire to learn, and the time to commit to continuing the ENFORCERS tradition of teamwork and success.
Who are we?

We are FIRST Tech Challenge team 7149, The ENFORCERS. Located in Egg Harbor Township NJ, we are sponsored by the Police Activities League of Atlantic County. We are 15 middle and high school students from 6 different schools in Atlantic County, New Jersey. We are 6-time back-to-back NJ State Champions in 2021-2026. Now in our 13th season, we have received awards for overall performance, competition performance, design, and community outreach at local, state, regional, and international levels throughout the years.
SeaPerch

SeaPerch is a remotely operated vehicle (ROV), a competition, and a community. Our program guides students on building an underwater robot while supplying mentors with the tools and training to help them through the process.

PAL of Atlantic County offers engaging STEM and trades camps that combine hands-on learning, creativity, and teamwork in a fun environment. Camp participants explore robotics, engineering, technology, trades, and interactive projects while building skills, confidence, and new friendships through exciting activities and experiences.
STEM Clubs & Research

Explore STEM clubs and research opportunities designed to inspire creativity, innovation, and discovery. Students can dive deeper into science, technology, engineering, and hands-on projects while building teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills in an engaging learning environment.
Drone Club
Enjoy flying indoors with the Parrot Mambo. This easy-to-fly minidrone utilizes a series of sophisticated stabilization sensors to keep it nice and level during flight. Drone Club will encourage members to be more engaged with drone technology as well as STEM education and expose members to both the application and usefulness of drones. Members will learn the basics of flight, navigate a course and participate in a Drone Search & Rescue operation. Drone club members will also work together as a team to build a racing drone from a 3D printed base and add all the necessary components.

Programs include Buddy’s Garage Small Motor & Automotive Repair Club, Media Club, and other trade-based activities designed to build creativity, teamwork, technical knowledge, and career readiness in a supportive learning environment.
Media Club
Television Production, Filming, Photography
The PAL Media Club has a variety of ways to learn and interact with the Media industry. Learn about all types of media in front of and behind the camera!

Buddy’s Garage
Small Motor and Automotive Repair Club
This program is for girls and boys in grades 7th through 12th. Members of BUDDY’S GARAGE will discover mechanical reasoning while learning how to fix and maintain small motors, all-terrain vehicles, lawn mowers and small vehicles. They will learn the names and uses of various tools and as experience grows will learn how to weld and even design and build a go-kart.
Discovery will be facilitated by experienced mechanics and community leaders. There will be minimal focus on books and formal learning and eye to inspiration like a parent to their child. Discovery by doing, learning by failing and rebounding to succeed.

March is NJ STEM Month.
In celebration of New Jersey S.T.E.M. Month, the Police Activities League (PAL) of Egg Harbor Township & Atlantic County is hosting a Free S.T.E.M. Expo and you are cordially invited.
The STEM Expo in an exciting FREE event for families of all ages. Come explore interactive hands-on STEM activities! NJ STEM Month highlights the incredible accomplishments in science, technology, engineering, math, and innovation.
March was again officially declared NJ STEM Month with the support of Governor Murphy’s administration and Senator Zwicker’s Office. It is a month dedicated to highlighting the Garden State’s presence and accomplishments in science, technology, engineering, math, and innovation. Our goal is to provide an informative space, where STEM providers and learners can come together to share common interests and knowledge. We strive to impact upwards of 60,000 learners and to recognize New Jersey’s world-class STEM organizations.
PAL will introduce the community to a vast array of STEM programs and allow kids and parents to explore unique, hands-on STEM activities firsthand. The PAL STEM Expo will showcase science, technology, engineering, math and so much more. Come meet PAL teams: KidWind, R.O.A.D.S. Challenge, Seaperch Teams and 5 time NJ State Champion First Tech Challenge Robotics Team 7149 The ENFORCERS. Teams will have their builds on display.
