The Police Activities League of Egg Harbor Township & Atlantic County SeaPerch team is a regional and international award-winning robotics team. Seaperch was designed and originated by the U.S. Navy, to help young people get introduced to the principles of engineering. The premise is that the Navy designed a robot for underwater exploration, but the robot failed. It is up to the SeaPerch teams to create and operate tethered robots that will complete the Seaperch challenges. Each year, a new challenge is created and a new robot must be designed
The team is open to youth from 6th to 12th grades, and introduces the principles of engineering, critical thinking, teamwork and competition. We compete with both middle school and high school teams and will join teams throughout New Jersey, and the world during the challenges.

SeaPerch is an underwater robotics competition that encourages teams to design, build, program, and engage in thrilling ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) competitions. Guided by adult coaches and mentors, students develop STEM skills and practice marine engineering principles, while realizing the value of innovation and teamwork. Our SeaPerch team are ambassadors for ocean science, STEM, and marine exploration in our community.
Together, we can conquer the world, one pool at a time!
