Field Hockey

Our Field Hockey program is designed to help players develop fundamental skills, improve their understanding of the game, and build confidence in a fun and supportive environment. Whether your child is new to field hockey or looking to sharpen their skills, our program provides age-appropriate instruction led by experienced coaches.

Sessions focus on stick handling, passing, receiving, shooting, positioning, and game play through a combination of drills, activities, and scrimmages.

Players will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn and improve field hockey fundamentals
  • Develop teamwork and sportsmanship
  • Build confidence through skill development
  • Stay active while having fun

All sessions are held indoors at the Crossplex on our AstroTurf field, providing a safe and climate-controlled environment for year-round play.

Field Hockey – Summer Season

Runs: July 15 to August 19
Ages: 8-14, girls

 

Program Details:

Day: Wednesday Evening

Dates: July 15, 22, 29; August 5, 12, 19

Time: 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM

 

Program Focus: 

Participants will develop fundamental and advanced field hockey skills, including:

  • Stick skills, dribbling, passing, receiving, and ball control
  • Shooting accuracy, power, and technique
  • Offensive and defensive tactics and game strategy
  • Fitness, endurance, speed, agility, and strength
  • Game awareness and decision-making under pressure
  • Defensive skills, including tackling, marking, and positioning
  • Teamwork, communication, and collaboration

Please bring or wear:

  • Field hockey stick
  • Shin guards
  • Mouthguard
  • Sneakers or cleats (no metal cleats)

Fee: $110 per participant
Includes: Program T-shirt
