About FTC... our FTC team is designed for students in grades 8-12 to compete head to head, using a sports model. Teams are responsible for designing, building, and programming their robots to compete in an alliance format against other teams. The robot kit is reusable from year-to-year and is programmed using a variety of languages. Teams, including coaches, mentors and volunteers, are required to develop strategy and build robots based on sound engineering principles. Awards are given for the competition as well as for community outreach, design, and other real-world accomplishments. In the 2016-17 challenge, over 7,000 teams from across the globe participated. Our first year was the 2013-2014 season, BLOCK PARTY. We had a very good first year making it all the way to the world championship in St. Louis Missouri. We finished 10th overall, just a few points from making the final four. We returned to worlds in the 2015-2016 season, finishing 33rd out of slight more then 7,000 teams worldwide. In the 2016-2017 season we qualified for the NJ State Championship, but fell short of moving onto the regional championship.

In the up-coming season we have most of our experienced team members returning. We are looking for 4-6 new members who are dedicated to help our team return to the world stage.

Advances to World Championship

The Enforcers participated in eight major events in 2015-2016 season including the NJ State Championship, where they came in 2nd and the East Super Regional where they placed 8th out of 72 teams, earning the right to attend the World Championship in St. Louis, Missouri. Their overall record for the year was 58 wins and 21 losses. The ENFORCERS won three of the events and placed 2nd in two of the events.

In New Jersey, an FTC season is made up of meets and qualifiers, with teams hoping to do well enough to be one of the 48 teams to take part in the NJ State Championships. From there, teams must do well enough at the Eastern Super Regional in an effort to make worlds.  Only the top 23 teams in the Eastern region advance.

We were among the youngest FTC teams in the world in the 2015-2016 season with three 7th graders, one 8th grader, two freshmen, one junior and senior. Most of our competitor’s teams are based out of high schools.  The EHT PAL Enforcers Team #7149, is a fourth year team.  There are 132 FTC teams in New Jersey alone with over 7,000 active teams worldwide. The ENFORCERS are one of four teams from NJ that qualified for Worlds and one of the 128 teams invited to participate World Championship. 23 of the teams attending are from countries other than the United States.
